Pegasus
Born as DBM Shah Yenn, this stately gentleman had already lived a full life when he came to me at age 21 in the fall of 2000.  A retired show horse who didn't want to be retired, he had bounced from lesson program to lesson program before ending up with me.
We named him Pegasus because, even at age 21, it seemed to fit him!
Since coming to Serendipity in 2003, Pegasus has become the resident Wise Man and Sage.  He keeps the youngsters in line while staying out of trouble with the ladies.

Eminently patient, he is a tolerant lesson horse whose specialty is teaching the canter.  Several generations have learned "1, 2, 3 gittup!"  although we don't tell them that he knows what "1,2,3" means and it requires little or no skill on their part!  He has learned some dressage and will even, grudgingly, take children over cross rails.  He stands for endless grooming of his white coat, seldom spotless! and has even taken up the sport of his long ago youth, driving.

Bossy Pegasus likes things to be done his way.  He wants his food, he wants it now, and you'd best not forget his peppermints!
Easily the most recognizable of all the Serendipity horses,
Pegasus is a beloved fixture and, at 29, far from being an old plug, we liken him to a sporty little convertible!
