Luc came to me courtesy of Deb and AK Morgan of Ancient Oaks Farm in TN, in October of 2000.
Just eight months old, he ran right through my protests of "I don't want a baby!" and became a part of the family. The plan was that I would sell him once he was under saddle.
Who could resist?
After an ugly-duckling stage, he matured into a handsome fellow, and began his under saddle training in late fall of 2003.
As expected, just like his big sister, he took to it naturally. In early April he was ready for his first show with me, followed closely by a fabulous outing with Georgia Hertz!
Working steadily through the summer, Luc started serious dressage training. He bloomed at this, as well as being a stellar liberty horse, his music:
"Sharp Dressed Man"
and he dabbled in over fences
I was quickly realizing that also just like his sister, there was much more to this little horse than I had expected, and maybe I shouldn't be in such a hurry to send him along! A few more students began to ride him and all had the same enthusiastic response.
I had purchased Adrianna from them the previous year, and when Deb called me and said, "we have Adrianna's little brother here and you need to have him!" I protested at first but eventually I went to see him.
I began driving him to strengthen
his hind end, which had always been his weak point, and not only did he like it,
a strange thing happened!
It turns out Luc had finally
grown into his pedigree and matured into a Country Pleasure horse!
