More about me...
My first look at Serendipity mired me waist deep in love at first sight.
I knew right then that I had to have this place!
It took almost a month of wrangling out the details
before I was ready to share with anyone
that I was about to have my dream of my own barn,
a dream that I had pushed aside
through seeing the realities of how tough it was,
a dream that I didn't even realize I still wanted.
The barn was deserted, filthy, and had no life to it.
There were barbed wire fences and the inside was gloomy and dark.
We worked like crazy to get some parts of fencing up,
to move ninety tons of dirt into the stalls and the aisle to raise the floors,
after having scraped out hundreds of pounds of cattle manure
and chicken poop by the bucketful from all the rooms.
We moved horses in on January 1, 2003.  The last eight years have by far been the best of my horse career.
The toughest, perhaps, because there is a great deal more responsiblity involved in what I do now,
compared to any of my previous horse business incarnations, but I wouldn't trade a day of it for anything.
I have the greatest group of clients in the world, and my herd of horses is happy and healthy -
what more could anyone want?
In 2007 when Celeste left me,
I thought the world would end.
Instead I discovered that I have the greatest friends in the world.
And then there was Miya...
Ahead of me there is more.
More students to teach, more horses to guide,
more great rides for all of us!
